are you open about your beliefs (or lack thereof i should say)?
when people talk about anything religious, do you mention that you don't believe in god?

Can i defend my Faith?
by mrbunyrabit inso i thought ill check to see how "strong" the things are i believe in.
im still hooked to allot of the wts's teachings, and i still believe in allot of them , even thought i have enough questions of my own to start my own bible school.. so what would you ask me as a "witness" now, so i can try and defend my faith and by doing so, that i might learn something about myself, and what i believe in..

MsGrowingGirl20 is no longer one of......
by MsGrowingGirl20 ini am no longer one of jehovah's witnesses(well mentally that is)---however i am a christian...i recently started reading different translations from www.biblegateway.com...jesus is so different to how the jw's teach....and god...i mean, i still am learning and confused about certain things but i am in love with them.... it's obvious that the jw's are not an organization of god.i don't think god is working through an organization but through individuals...however i am going to speak to an elder tomorrow about my issues---all of them---and i'm going to tell him everything--what i've been reading, where i got it from---everything!!
i'm not hiding anything!
i have done no wrong....i just want to be a true christian and if they disfellowship me for seeking answers then this is not where i need to be.

Make a one-page detailed letter of the scriptural issues you are having. Keep it concise, organized, but detailed. Envelope it, and give it to your friends BEFORE meeting with elders.
Let them (your friends) know you need to (1 John 4:1) and remind them of your love. Make it personal for each person.
Most will still ignore you, but at least they are aware of the situation, and are hearing it from the source. You never know what may become of it!
Get the meeting underway...

Man Can't Rule Himself
by falseprophet ini've heard it said from the platform that "man can't rule himself".. satan challenged god's authority and god left man to rule himself.. unfortunately, god changed the rules and man now dies.
so each generation or two* needs a new ruler with new rules.. it seems that either man dies or god is ruler in the mind of a jw.
this isn't true - mathematically this creates four scenarios:.

Man rulers suck. When man intervenes as God's "spokesman", it sucks even worse.
We see it today, we seen it in David's day and a pestilence was spread because of his wrongdoing.

Different take on John 13:35 (Love)
by Silent_Scream in(john 13:35)35 by this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love among yourselves.. a lot of witnesses like to point to this scripture as evidence of their true christianity, when all else fails.
but when i read it recently, an example came to mind:.
i was at a family reunion years back.

WOW! Should this be sent to the GB?
by Silent_Scream inthe best managers have a fundamentally different understanding of workplace, company, and team dynamics.
see what they get right.. a few years back, i interviewed some of the most successful ceos in the world in order to discover their management secrets.
i learned that the "best of the best" tend to share the following eight core beliefs.. 1. business is an ecosystem, not a battlefield.. average bosses see business as a conflict between companies, departments and groups.

The worst offenders are those that read this and feel like they do a good job at whats listed, when everyone else knows otherwise.

Anybody else noticed this?
by Godsendconspirator in1 john 4:8 ~ "...god is love.
" self explanitory.. 1 corinthians 13:4 ~ "...love is not jealous..." so since god is love, that would mean he is not jealous as well, right?....
exodus 34:14 ~ "because jehovah, whose name is jealous, he is a jealous god".

Jealousy can be good or bad. Jealous for your husband/wife is different than jealousy of your husband/wife.
